This is the way all Macs should be… the interface is clean, laid out in an understandable and "just works" way, things work the way you would expect them, and you dont need a PhD in Earth Science to know what it is telling you (i.e. it doesnt make you feel stupid). I really like how the graphics and colors work together to give you what you need to know at a glance, and the rotating "windsock" is a whether interface innovation (My brother-in law a Patent Atty says, run not walk and get a patent on the design/look/feel of this).
I have found all versions of this to be stable and have not had a crash on my MacPro3.
Of the different weather apps I have tried out this is the only one that gives you such information as wind speed and gust speed AND direction as a linear trackable item. All of which great to have, but is of great professional interest to an Accident Investagator or insurance adjustor.
All this said, the App needs to be about 5-10 USD cheaper, while yes, the take per single sale is 20-40 less, the developer would increase sales, maybe double. Just sayn.
